Everything We Actually Want For Christmas This Year
We've been very nice this year. Just saying.
By: Amber x Dani
While everyone’s still in the spirit of giving we thought this would be a good time to drop this one in the ‘sphere.
To be honest, we’re more into gift giving during this season than receiving. You know those gifts you get that are perfect because they’re somehow *just* what you wanted, but would’ve never thought to ask for? We love giving those gifts. There’s something we thoroughly enjoy about finding clever presents that are both unexpected, yet practical. It just so happens these are the types of gifts we like to receive as well. If we can’t use it, burn it, wear it or spend it, then you’re better off saving your money. Yeah, we’re annoying like that. Here’s all of the things we’d to receive, but will most likely be treating ourselves to sometime next year. Maybe you’ll get some gift-giving ideas. As always, everything is vegan, cruelty-free and ethically made.
Reformation Penny Bodysuit. If we could have it our way, our closets would be filled with Reformation dresses and tops. There’s just something effortless, but super chic and sexy about every piece they design. We want so many things, but the Penny Bodysuit (in black) is first on the list. And, in case you didn’t know, all of Reformation designs are eco-friendly, made from recycled materials.
Angela Roi Eleanor Satchel in Bordeaux. Finding an everyday handbag that’s eco-conscious, vegan, but still actually wearable (and chic) is literally impossible. Okay, maybe not literally, but it’s taken us over a year to find one, and this bag is just right. It’s versatile, stylish and totally functional. Basically, it’s perfect.
Unreal Fur Delicious Jacket in Black. Because we all need a jacket that can transition an outfit from day to night effortlessly. It’s the most luxurious faux fur out there. Unreal Fur’s entire line is filled with gorgeous statement jackets and while this one is a toned down, everyday statement, it’s on the right side of eye-catching and trust us, this jacket will steal the scene no matter where you’re headed. Love this one for a night out.
Maison Louis Marie No.09 Vallée de Farney Eau de Parfum. Although new clothes are always wonderful, the quickest way to our hearts is through scent. If you’ve been following us long enough, you’d know that by now; we’re borderline addicts, especially when it comes to luxurious multi-layered fragrances like this one.
Byredo Velvet Haze Eau de Parfum. We’ve heard that this is the perfect F/W fragrance and since we love every single scent that Byredo has ever done, we believe it. The notes of Ambrette, Pachouli Leaves and Cocoa Absolu seem so dreamy.
Ellis Brooklyn Fable Eau De Parfum. Narrowed it down to this scent, but would honestly die over anything from Bee Shapiro’s line. Every scent is beautifully crafted. They’re the least “perfumy” perfumes out there, yet everyone compliments us whenever we wear RRose, which is our favorite rose fragrance to date. You guys may be tired of hearing us rave about Ellis Brooklyn but, sorry, we seriously love this brand.
Herbivore Botanicals Coco Rose Luxe Hydration Trio. One thing we’re always hoping for, no matter what time of year, is healthy, glowing skin. We’ve been obsessing over Herbivore Botanical’s new Coco Rose Luxe Hydration Trio. Isn’t it beautiful? The scent of these products are amazing and the formulas are simple, but amazing. Read our original thoughts here. The travel-sized Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist is perfect to carry around in your purse for midday rehydration. The lip balm literally melts right into your lips and keeps them soft all day while the Coco Rose Body Polish exfoliates your skin and leaves behind a slight layer of coconut oil so your entire body feels moisturized. Love it.
Royal Fern Phytoactive Anti-Aging Serum. If you read our interview with Timm where we told you how in love we were with their Anti-Aging Face Cream, then you probably saw this coming. (Our raving on IG here and here was probably a tell-tale sign too.) We are fans, for real, and saying that we want to try every product from the line is no exaggeration, people. But, if we had to only choose one, we’d definitely pick this one.
CRUDE Convert Set. We’ve read so many stories from CRUDE customers who all say their products have helped them heal their acne, eczema and roseaca, so we’re dying to try this set. The most impressive part is that they do it using only plant-based ingredients and zero synthetic chemicals. Inside the set there’s a soap and detergent free body wash, a moisture-rich soothing serum, a green tea detox mask, an oil cleanser that doubles as a moisturizer and an healing serum. The set also comes with six microfiber towelettes which are designed to remove excess oils from your skin as you wipe your face after cleansing.
More skincare (don’t act surprised)
Berlin Skin Sandalwood Cream + Rose Geranium Spray. This brand markets themselves as skincare for the modern minimalists, which is us to a T. Their Sandalwood Cream is actually vegan (no beeswax, thank you!) and is multi-use, which we love. It probably smells divine. Speaking of smells, there’s no better scent than rose and geranium. And you already know how obsessed we are with facial mists. Need we say more?
Sangre de Fruta Collection. Don’t know which one were more excited to try – the Jasmine de Nuit Body Serum or the Rose Botanical Facial Tonic. They both sound absolutely delicious. But possibly the best part about these products is that they’re all made in small batches and most of the ingredients are organic, sourced from small farms.
Hannacure Multi-Action Treatment Mask – Set. Supposedly, this two-part mask is supposed to assault multiple signs of aging and give you visible results in only four treatments (which this set includes), including wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and loss of elasticity. That combined the fact that the packaging and application brush is super pretty, we’re dying to see if the hype is true for this K-beauty All-In-One Facial.
Artis Elite Mirror 5 Brush Set. The original oval makeup brushes in the most useful collection yet. It’s the upgrade we all want for our top shelf, but the one that’s kind of painful to spring for. That’s why it makes the most perfect gift.
Antonym Quattro Eyeshadow palette in Noisette. This palette is neural, but still has some shimmery shades which is perfect for the season, so we’re dying to have this…like right now. Antonym is eco-friendly, vegan, and certified organic.
Morrow Heirloom French Duvet Sheet Set. Beautiful bedding does it for us. This set is made from 100% French Flax Linen (suitable for all seasons) and comes with a duvet cover and two standard-size shams. The best part is that while it’s made from a super luxe fabric, it has a pre-washed, wrinkled texture which means you can wash it in a regular cycle (with cold water) and it’ll last for a long time.
Croft House Bronson Coffee Table. Okay, so this one is a little bit of a stretch, but we can dream right? As of late, we’ve been loving the industrial look of a steel coffee table in contrast with lighter, more comfy, even bohemian-style pieces. It would look great with ourBurrow sofa. This coffee table is custom-made in Los Angeles like all of their pieces, which we absolutely love.
Fornasetti’s ‘L’ape Candle. You can never go wrong with a candle. But when it’s a Fornasetti candle, then you know you’ve done it right. We’re sure the scent is incredible, but to be honest, this beautiful, hand-painted vessel is enough to make us drool. We like to think of it as a functional objet d’art.
APA Beauty Clean White Sonic Toothbrush. Have you ever seen a more beautiful electric toothbrush? It comes in black and white, but we both have our eyes (and hearts) set on the latter. We want it. Now.
Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World – Hardcover. We are the pickiest people on the planet when it comes to books. We’re both writers so it makes sense. We first came across this book on Goop’s website in the home section and were intrigued enough to go to Amazon and “look inside,” but we were, by no means, convinced. The title is interesting sure, but if a book doesn’t have a strong voice, or is in any other way, boring, we can’t get through it. Happy to say, after reading the sample, we’re sold. Have to read this book.
Ettitude Bamboo Charcoal PJ’s in Dove Gray. It’s rare to find a pair of classic men’s style sleeping pajamas that aren’t fully or partially made from silk. So when we found these we were like we’ve got to have these. These are perfect because they cool you down when you sleep, but keep you warm at the same time. Winner!
Alright, we’re done.
